A pearl in the Indian Ocean - the private island of Frégate is probably the epitome of luxury and an unparalleled dream island. It is located approx. 50 km east of Mahé and its highest point is the Mont Signal with a height of 125 m above sea level. As is typical for the Seychelles, there are long white sandy beaches, majestic granite rocks and dreamy bathing bays that take your breath away - with the difference that only guests of the resort are allowed to stay on Frégate. So you have the little more than 2 km² island almost to yourself and experience the luxury retreat in an exclusive and very private way.
In the beginning of the story, pirates settled the island and there is talk of legendary treasures that were hidden here. After its official discovery in 1744 by Lazare Picault and in the course of colonization, Frégate was used as a plantation for fruit, vegetables and palm trees. An extensive renaturation of the island took place in the 1990s. Many of the plantations gradually gave way to wild nature and the wildlife gradually recovered. Over the years, the pristine nature that makes the Seychelles so extraordinary has re-emerged on Frégate. Many endemic bird species, such as the frigate birds and the rare Seychelles shame thrush, have been joined by more than 2000 giant tortoises and other exotic animals of the jungle. In the waters around Frégate and the offshore reefs you can find sea turtles, colorful fish, rays and colorful corals. The tropical slopes adorn the island and give it a very special charm.
All villas options
The only resort on the island allows a maximum of 50 guests at the same time and is divided into 16 extremely luxurious and spacious residences, all of which offer exceptional privacy and security. Due to the seclusion, guests will find the ultimate in relaxation and recreation and the comfortable villas and the excellent star service leave nothing to be desired. All villas are surrounded by untouched nature, offer fascinating views of the wide sea and guarantee a picture-perfect holiday in a class of its own. Guests can reach the island in the resort's own small plane or helicopter in 20 minutes and are picked up directly from the main airport in Victoria on Mahé. Another special feature of the resort are the extensive ecological measures on Frégate Island - much of the income continues to flow into nature conservation on the island and two trees are planted for each new guest.
Numerous activities on the island make the dream vacation complete. Visitors can go on hikes, on paved paths on foot or with golf carts, explore the breathtaking nature, observe animals and discover secluded beaches. The 7 private beaches on Frégate invite you to linger - in addition to the beaches Grand Anse, Anse Macquereau, Anse Park, Anse Bambous, La Cour and Anse Marina, the Anse Victorin is the absolute highlight of the island. In the Frégates gardens you can collect exotic fruits and ingredients, which are then freshly prepared by the resort - for example, enjoy a sunset cocktail with lemon basil you have picked yourself and deliciously sweet star fruits. In the resort's spacious spa area, guests can enjoy an extraordinary pampering program with massages, treatments and private yoga and meditation sessions. The hotel's restaurant is also a highlight in itself. The first-class dishes will satisfy even the most demanding gourmets. There is freshly caught fish and 80% of the organic ingredients and spices come from the island's own plantations.

The Private Pool Villas are approx. 400-500 m² in size (of which approx. 178 m² living area) and have a bedroom, a separate living area and an outdoor terrace with a large infinity pool. A private butler and a buggy are available. In each residence there is a direct dial telephone, free WiFi, satellite TV, DVD, stereo with CD player, safe, air conditioning, fan, butler service and a buggy for free use. Cleaning is done twice a day. A maximum of two children can be accommodated per residence.

Rock Spa
The Rock Spa is a shady sanctuary, a peaceful teak house on a granite hill with a view over the rainforest canopy to the Indian Ocean.
Each guest receives a free yoga session and a welcoming ritual, which everyone can use to adjust to the rhythm of the island. Treatments are tailor-made for The Rock Spa and use many of the island's plants and fruits. Our Garden of Eden healing book, found in every villa, provides details on many recipes. In the gardens, guests can collect their own fruits and ingredients to create a delicious treatment for natural beauty.
An infinity pool hangs over lush greenery; Soar and look up at birds soaring through the trees. Everything is a calming precursor to one of the natural treatments performed with gentle professionalism.
The Rock Spa has an air-conditioned gym and a personal trainer if required.

Fregate Island Private's flavors are an inspiration to our chefs. There are lemon basil and ginger to add flavor to cocktails, papaya and star fruit for breakfast, pumpkin leaf and coriander salads, coffee beans, zucchini and spices. along with an abundance of local catch. 80% of our fresh ingredients are organic products from our own plantation.
Our small island is fertile and plentiful, and we are home to the largest hydroponic system in the Seychelles. So, if the chef desires an ingredient, it can be grown in six weeks at any time of the year.
